Who is behind Third Age Fitness?
Trudi and Carol are a mother and daughter team that have dedicated their lives to see older adults as healthy and happy as they can be - age is no barrier to exercise, and there is always an alternative in sight! We encourage older adults to work as hard as they can, as best as they can, for as long as they can, as that’s all you can do! We are not affiliated with any fitness centres.

Membership

How do I start a new membership?
You can begin your new membership in a couple of easy steps. Follow our simple instructions to begin - select from Mobility Membership or Agility Membership

How do I pay for my membership?
Membership is paid up front by credit card. You can choose either a monthly or annual subscription, and both renew automatically. Invoices and receipts for health funds can be supplied upon request.

How do I update my credit card details?
When you get a new credit card or would like to change payment to a new credit card, you can update your details via My Account. Follow the instructions HERE.

What is the difference between monthly and annual membership?
You get the same access to all of our classes, and all the same benefits of membership, but if you buy an annual membership you get two months FREE each year, so you will save money in the long run.

Can I transfer my membership to a friend?
Membership is non-transferable. In order to treat everyone equally, we can’t make any exceptions with this rule.

Can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time, either via your account on our website (click HERE for instructions), or by sending us an email on our Contact page. We do not offer refunds or credits for partial weeks or months of service, and don’t offer refunds for months unused. In order to treat everyone equally, exceptions will only be made in exceptional circumstances.

I’ve got an injury/going in for an operation and I can’t exercise - can I suspend my membership?
We believe it’s important to keep exercising as a part of your preparation before an operation, and as a part of your recovery afterwards. Because we have such a range of workouts that cater for any limitation, we believe we can still offer you workouts you can participate in, and that will help aid your recovery, both physically and mentally. Consequently we do not offer membership suspension or a refund for cancellations. In order to treat everyone equally, exceptions will only be made in exceptional circumstances. If you have a query about how you can best exercise during recovery, talk to your doctor, or get in touch with us.

Accounts

Do I have to create an account?
Yes. Everyone who wants to access our free trial or take out a membership subscription will need to create an account. We understand that it is another password to remember, so we’ve included the option for you to log in using your Gmail or Facebook accounts, so you can use the same email and password as you do on those websites.

How do I update my account details?
If you want to update your email address, password, credit card details, or other personal account information, you can do this via My Account when you sign in. Follow the instructions by clicking HERE.

What do you do with my account information?
Third Age Fitness does not use personal information for any other purpose without first seeking consent, unless authorized or required by law. Generally, we only use and disclose personal information to establish and maintain our relationship with you, and provide and manage products and services to you.

Will you share my personal information with another business or website?
Absolutely not. We will not disclose any information that we gather about you to any third party. We use the information collected only for the services we provide.

What is the Third Age Fitness Facebook page?

Workouts

What classes are included in your membership?
We have so many different types of classes! And all of them are included in your membership - we have standing cardio aerobics routines, sitting workouts, floor exercises, balance and stretching exercises, and everything else in between. We also use a variety of equipment to keep challenging you - weights, bands, balls, broomsticks, chairs, mats, and milk cartons! Whatever you are in the mood for, we have a class that has been designed just for you. Whatever your goals are - whether to build strength, improve your balance, or get the heart pumping - we’ve got a workout that will help you reach that goal.

I’ve got a bad shoulder/knee/hip/ankle/wrist - can I still do your workouts?
Yes! Our instructors are experienced with older adults and know that not everything works as well as it used to. Throughout our workouts, instructors will often give variations for those who cannot complete the exercise due to an injury or limitation. There are always alternatives, and we try and give you as many as we can as we do our workouts.

Who are the workouts designed for?
You! We consider an older adult to be anyone over the age of 50. Our instructors are all specialized older adults instructors, and have years, if not decades, of experience teaching and working with older adults. Our classes are specifically designed for older adults, taking into account your experience, your goals, your abilities, and your motivations. We try our best to put together great workouts that will challenge your body and your mind, and help you get the most out of life.

I like face-to-face classes - it’s not the same doing it by myself.
We understand that part of the benefit of exercise is that it’s also a chance to connect with friends, and it can be hard to stay motivated at home. What can you do? Make a decision that you are going to exercise each day - don’t wait until you feel like it. Decide it, then do it. Remember that you are in charge of your own health - no-one can do it for you!

Technical Information

I don’t know if your videos will work on my computer?
If you aren’t sure whether our videos will work on your computer or connect to your TV, we encourage you to test the features and system requirements of our online memberships during your 7-day free trial period. Because you have the opportunity to test the system before you make a purchase, we won’t issue refunds on the basis of customers not understanding the system requirements, or the presence of compatibility issues, including inadequate internet speed or consistency, or incompatible devices, operating systems, or browser software versions.

The workouts are a little small on my computer - what can I do?
If you have a SMART TV, you will be able to connect your laptop to the computer via cables or the internet. You can also log in to our workouts on your phone and then connect to your TV that way. You may need to enlist the help of a child or grandchild to help you here!

Can I use my Chromecast to play your videos on my TV?
Yes you can.
